KounTI 1.0

Welcome!

KounTI is a little tool that allows you to create counters for any date in the future. 
After starting KounTI, the tool initializes itsself by reading the "sfdates.ini" file.

The user is able to create his own counters by editing the given "sfdates.ini" file.


1. INI-File Formats
-------------------

The INI-file formats are:

For standard options:
<option>:<value> 

For counter dates:
<datedescription>:<date>
The date has the format: dd.mm.yyyy (f.e. june, the first in twothousandsix => 01.06.2006)

Any option or any counter date in the ini-file has to be defined in this way.


2. Standard Options
-------------------

a) "showSeconds"
This option HAS TO BE in the FIRST LINE of the sfdates.ini file.
The "showSeconds" flag defines the counter format:
Option "Yes": The counter shows only the seconds that are left until the defined date is reached.
Option "No" : The counter shows days, hours, minutes and seconds that are left until the defined date is reached.

b) "decorated"
This option HAS TO BE in the SECOND LINE of the sfdates.ini file.
Option "Yes": The counter-window is decorated (contains close-, maximize- and minimize-buttons).
Option "No" : The counter-window is undecorated (no border or any other buttons).


3. Counter Dates
----------------

Below the standard options, the user has the possibility to define his wanted counter dates.
The defined dates are displayed in the tool in the same order as they are defined in the ini-file.
The tool displays everything in front of the ":" as the dates description and tries to analyze everything behind the ":" as
a valid date in the format dd.mm.yyyy


4. Installing KounTI
--------------------

KounTI is a simple ZIP-file. You download the file and extract it to any directory of your choice. After extraction
there should be three files in your chosen directory:
- KounTI.jar
- sfdates.ini
- readme.txt
Thats it - installation complete! ;)


5. Starting KounTI
-----------------

KounTI is a JAVA-tool, thats why the Java Runtime Environment (JRE, min. version 5.0) has to be installed on your machine before you are
able to run KounTI.
After installing the JRE, you are able to start KounTI by simply double-clicking the "KounTI.jar" file in your windows explorer.
It is important that the "sfdates.ini" file is located in the same directory as the "KounTi.jar" file.

If you like to start KounTI on windows startup, simply move the "KounTI.jar" and "sfdates.ini" files into the "Autostart"-directory in your
start menu.
